Redneck BBQ

We're having a BBQ next Saturday! I can't wait. I got out my favorite recipes to make for Handsome Wolfy. We'll be having his favorite Squirrel Helper, of course, but I thought we'd also have BBQ Bunny, Bambi Steaks, Popped Mice, Elephant Pie with Camel Crust, Bunny Ear Chips, Bunny Burgers with extra Ears. If I have time, I'll also make some Shark Souffle, Squirrel Stew and who can forget Possum on the Half Shell. So many great recipes, I better get busy. Do come to our BBQ. There'll be lots to eat.

An Introduction

Wolfy

Hello adoring prey! I have been assigned as your benevolent (to me) ferocious predator. My lovely Wolfette and I will be walking among you, culling the herd, and generally keeping you all healthy and numerous. This way we will both have much food for the larder we are now sharing. As we diligently do our assigned jobs, we will be blogging to let you know how things are going here in Wolfy’s Woods.

There is much history to relate, and that will, no doubt , come out piece-meal in our blog. Let me just say that I was born – or evolved if you’re of that persuasion – or some even say mutated – by a little stream running near a sheltering nuclear power plant. I grew up and practiced my hunting skills pouncing on the small three-eyed, furry fish that hopped along by the stream. After many moons (back then the moon was Titan, but that’s a story for another time) other animals came into the woods to die and I learned about bunnies, squirrels, Bambies, and elephants. At night I would lay on a fish skin rug and read about the world of man by the glow of the nearby pond and thus educated myself.

But my real life began when I first gazed into the eyes of the love of my life, my divine Wolfette. I will let her give her greeting before you get away. Here, back from a short stay in the pound for First Degree Bunnycide, is the lovely Wolfette!

Wolfette

Handsome Wolf, thank you for that wonderful introduction! I hardly know where to begin but I'll try.

I am a product of my human's mind. She has what she likes to call Multiple Avatar Disorder - MAD if you will. I was her imaginary wolf so to speak. One evening she was dancing at this club, and I was looking through her eyes. There, in front of me, was the handsomest wolf I had ever seen; a lovely chocolate in color and those dreamy eyes! I knew I just had to meet him and so I fought my way out and became a real Wolfette! I had to eliminate her imaginary bunny, but that's another tale for another day.

Now I spend my days gazing at Handsome Wolf and catching bunnies and squirrels to cook for us. Sometimes we go dancing and that always makes me happy.

There is much to share but I'll close for now. Time to put on some Squirrel helper for dinner!
